The ICC revised tournament schedule includes a group stage match in India, the first leg of the semi-finals and, if required, the final in the UAE.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) said the 2025 Champions Trophy will now be held in Pakistan and Dubai after hosts Pakistan chose the UAE as a neutral host for rivals India.
The change of venue came after weeks of controversy after India refused to travel to Pakistan for the match.
Tournament hosts Pakistan will now have to travel to Dubai to play India on February 23, with the final set for March 9 when the two teams meet again.
“Lahore is also scheduled to host the final on March 9. However, if India does not qualify, it will be held in Dubai. There will be reserve days for both the semi-finals and finals,” the ICC said in a statement on Tuesday.
“The three group stage matches and the first semi-final, in which India will participate, will be played in Dubai.”
The eight-team competition begins in Karachi on February 19 and will see a total of 15 matches played in Pakistan and Dubai.
The tournament matches will be held in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. Each stadium in the country will host three group matches, while Lahore will also host the second semi-final.
Pakistan will face New Zealand in their Group A opener in Karachi on February 19, while India will face Bangladesh in Dubai a day later.
Due to tense political relations, India has not toured Pakistan since 2008 and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), citing government advice, refused to send a team for the Champions Trophy.
The ICC said last week that tournaments between India and Pakistan from 2024 to 2027 will be played at neutral venues.
The Champions Trophy will be the first ICC event hosted by Pakistan since the 1996 World Cup with India and Sri Lanka.
