EsportsNext 2024 just wrapped up in Chicago, and the Esports Trade Association wrapped up another successful event. From July 7th to 9th, ESTA hosted an esports-focused networking event and showcase, as well as an awards ceremony and induction ceremony where Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter was inducted into the ESTA Hall of Fame.
This exceptional showcase comes as Mayor Brandon Johnson proclaims July 7th as “Chicago Esports Day.”
Actually fame
ESTA works to spread awareness and support for the industry across North America. We host networking events to help those looking to build a career in the esports industry, while also helping businesses build valuable relationships that can play a key role in shaping the foundation for the growth of the global esports ecosystem.
Last year, ESTA inducted its first member into the Hall of Fame, Charles Conroy. With over 18 years of experience in the esports industry, Conroy was credited with “playing a key role in the expansion and business development of several prominent gaming organizations.”
Now he joins superstar esports player Ian ‘Cream Six’ Porter, who retired from the Call of Duty scene in 2022 and found a new passion in sim racing. He has since moved into track racing, driving for Rapha Racing Club, and is just as talented on the road as he is on the stick.
Cream Six is the most successful Call of Duty player of all time, with 3 World Championship titles, 39 ‘chips’ and a career with the most prestigious esports organization in the COD scene. He has been at the top of his game for over a decade, serving as a solid source of experience for new players. If anyone deserves a spot in the ESTA Hall of Fame, it’s Ian Porter.
