On Sunday, January 12, an unusual incident occurred in London and attracted public attention. Hundreds of people decided to ride the subway wearing only their underwear.. Known as “Ride Without Pants,” the goal of this annual event is simple. It’s something that brings joy and fun during the gray winter months.
A simple philosophy for joy
Dave Selkirk, one of the event organizers, explained the purpose of the event: “There are so many bad, unfortunate things happening. I think it’s good to just do something for fun.” The event received a positive response from attendees, who were grateful for the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience and have fun in the gloomy winter atmosphere.
What was it like traveling without pants?
Participants met at the entrance of London’s Chinatown and headed to the platform at Piccadilly Circus Station. I took off my pants after boarding the subway, but it wasn’t easy at first because there were a lot of passengers in the car. Nevertheless, everyone eventually joined in and acted as if nothing had happened.
