Club press release
At just 20 years old, our young second-rower is having almost a full season ranked in the top 14, playing 20 games in 20 days before suffering an ankle injury. Last summer’s U20 world champion, Hugo has become one of the beacons of the BĂ©arnaise team, of which he is a regular captain. An intelligent, mobile and combative player, he has already played 36 professional matches for the BĂ©arnais. Hugo, who has a contract until 2027 at Vert et Blanc, adds an extra season to his commitments. I’m so glad I can count on him until 2028!
Hugo Auradou, second line: “It was important for me to stay at the club for a long time and they trusted me to make my top 14 debut. I have prospered in the section for four years now. I really want to be part of the generation that will rise to the top. I strongly believe in this project and am very proud to be involved in it until 2028.”
Sebastien Piqueronis, Manager: “Hugo is one of our future section leaders. He is already developing leadership skills on the touchline, where he excels. The presence of Samuel Whitelock by his side only aided his development. He brilliantly embodies the emergence of our talented youngsters who, under the guidance of experienced players, can shine in the top 14. Tomorrow, these young people will be our leaders as we lead our sections into the qualifiers. »
