Opening packs is part of the appeal of Pokémon TCG Pocket, and there comes a point where you can’t open any more. You’ll run out, but there are plenty of ways to get your hands on additional free packs in Pokémon Pocket.
Pokémon TCG Pocket scratches that much-needed itch to open packs and battle. You no longer have to deal with the cards, physical properties of your collection, and fight someone directly with your best deck. Pokémon Pocket is a virtual path to victory that puts the heart and soul of the Pokémon TCG world in the palm of your hand.
Conquering solo battles and PvP is thrilling, but you need cards to get to this point. You need to open packs, and we’ve put together the fastest ways to get and open more packs.
Best Ways to Get Free Packs in Pokémon TCG Pocket
To get the free pack in Pokémon TCG Pocket you will need: Solo battle completedget hourglassmane dutyand level up—There are various methods, detailed below.
hourglass
Special hourglasses can be obtained in a variety of ways and their purposes are as follows: Decrease the in-game timer counting down seconds, minutes and hours until the next free Pokemon TCG Pocket Pack comes out.. Wonder Hourglasses specifically targets Wonder-Pick wait times, but we want to focus on collecting “Pack Hourglass” currency to get packs faster.
battle
The “Solo” aspect of the game mode in Pokémon TCG Pocket’s “Battle” submenu features numerous “step-up battles” to overcome, each with multiple sub-objectives. Completing this will earn you a handy reward.—Includes an hourglass—and a store ticket that can be used to purchase an hourglass in the store.
level up
If you start Pokémon TCG Pocket as a level 1 beginner, you can level up by opening packs, completing battles, and attempting the age-old headache of Wonder Picks. Every time I level up so far I received various gifts:
- hourglass pack
- pocket gold
- rewind clock
- Wonder Hourglass
As explained earlier, we’re hoping Pack Hourglasses will shorten the wait time and also allow you to purchase packs using Poke Gold. More on this soon.
Complete special events that award promo packs
The first major event in Pokémon TCG Pocket was the “Lapras ex Drop Event”. Receive rewards for completing increasingly difficult challenges. This included store tokens, Shinedust (for Flair customization), and promotional packs.
Promo packs only offer a small number of promotion-exclusive Pokemon that you can’t normally get from regular boosters.. But opening them keeps me in the random lottery of card collecting I crave, satisfies my desire to open those packs, and gives me bragging rights that I’ve collected special cards that might otherwise be difficult to collect once the event is over.
Stay tuned for more events offering more promo cards and rare packs.
monthly code
Most free-to-play mobile games usually share similar qualities: monthly codes that offer free rewards. As of November 6, no monthly codes have been added to Pokémon TCG Pocket.. There’s no guarantee that Creatures, DeNA, and The Pokémon Company also have monthly codes in mind. So keep checking with Insider Gaming for the latest information on potential developments.
Play the waiting game
Unfortunately, this is not a literal game. ‘Please accept the concept.patience is a virtue.” When I want to open a pack, I take my mind off of Pokémon TCG Pocket and do something else. But this says more about me and my addiction to this game.
Premium Pass
I saved these two for last. technically It’s not free, but it’s a quick way to get packs for free. Paying a monthly Premium Pass fee gives you access to premium missions that offer unique rewards and prizes. Additional, free daily packs. With the Premium Pass, you can receive 3 packs every day. That means you’ll get 30 extra packs per month, adding over 150 cards to your deck.
Again, my use of the word free is subjective. But if you’re looking for the quickest way to open a pack, this is it.
