One thing you should make sure of when playing a game is that your save files are backed up and safe in case of hardware failure. Without cloud saves, if your drive fails, you could completely lose all the saved games you’ve played. That’s why it’s recommended that you use all cloud save options, regardless of platform. If you’re using Steam, this feature tends to be enabled automatically, but just in case, here’s how to enable (or disable) cloud saves.
How to enable cloud saves on Steam
If you’re ready to enable cloud saves on Steam, follow these instructions:
Step 1: Choose steam It’s located in the top left of the Steam client.
Step 2: Choose setting.
Step 3: Choose cloud.
Step 4: Here you can turn cloud saves on or off using the toggle next to “Enable Steam Cloud.” Again, we highly recommend leaving this feature turned on!
