The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations were announced Wednesday for “Shogun.”bear“Hacking,” “Murders Only Happened Inside the Building” and “Baby reindeer“All of them have won numerous major awards.
The winner is “The Bear” Almost all the major awards in the comedy category were won The previous Emmy broadcast set a record for the most nominations in a single year for a comedy series, with 23. The previous record was 22 nominations for “30 Rock” in 2009.
“Shogun” led the drama series with 25 nominations this season, while “Murder in the Building” received 21 nominations, “True Detective: Night Country” received 19 nominations and “The Crown” earned 18 nominations for its final season.
By network, Netflix maintained its lead with 107 nominations this year, followed by FX with 93 and HBO with 91.
“The Morning Show” led the supporting cast of a drama series with seven nominations, half of which were for Nicole Beharie, Greta Lee, Karen Pittman, Holland Taylor, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass and Jon Hamm, who was nominated for lead actor for his role in “Fargo.”
On Wednesday, nominations were announced for two-time Emmy winner Tony Hale for “Veep” and Cheryl Lee Ralph, who won an Emmy for “Abbott Elementary” and is nominated again this year for supporting actress in a drama series.
The Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, September 15.
