Watch the clip: All is going well until the fans start screaming instead of just cheering. But it doesn’t necessarily sound like a boo. GL’s frustration shines through and he ominously says, “That’s one.”
But the audience seemed to think the famous comedian was joking. Because some laughter spreads through the crowd and as he is about to start again, he hears a comment and brings the score to 2.
The straw that breaks the camel’s back – Lopez is pulled to his feet by a woman who asks George if she can buy him a drink. He put the microphone on the stand and told the crowd he couldn’t yell anymore.
When the crowd protests, Lopez responds that he may look like a world-class A-hole, but he’s actually doing his job and needs to keep the audience from screaming.
George tells the audience to just sit there. You don’t have to say anything if they don’t like it. They start booing… before Lopez leaves.
