Conservative lawyer George Conway on Monday took a hard look at Donald Trump’s latest, baseless election complaints.
The former president made baseless claims on his Truth Social platform that Democrats were plotting to “cheat” the 2024 election by turning out votes from American citizens living abroad.
Trump also suggested that “anyone could have their ballot emailed to them,” without providing any evidence to back up the unproven claim.
Conway, a longtime Trump critic despite Trump’s ex-wife’s close political ties to the current Republican nominee, shared screenshots of his rant on X (formerly Twitter).
And the lawyer tagged Trump, writing, “As usual, you are spreading misinformation.”
“Federal law protects the voting rights of all American citizens, even if they move to another country for personal or professional reasons,” Conway said.
“For example, if you choose to live in Venezuela one day, as you suggest (which I personally hope you do, but only after you have served whatever criminal sentence a judge may impose on you), the law will protect your right to vote,” he added.
“The law protects your right to vote and the right to vote of every citizen of our great republic. I hope it helps!” Conway concluded.
Trump still denies losing the 2020 election to President Joe Biden, and continued to sow doubts about the election’s integrity in August, telling billionaire X founder Elon Musk he might fly to South America if he lost in November (he’s been doing so for years).

“If something happens in this election, it’s going to be a horror show, but we’re going to meet in Venezuela next time because it’s a much safer place to meet than here. So you and I are going to go to Venezuela and have a meeting and have dinner,” he said.
