Original: Fortnite fans are counting down the days to the release of a new update that will be the last major download of the season. With the current Fortnite season coming to a close, developer Epic Games has decided to release one final update to get everything ready for the upcoming season-ending event. The May 14 Fortnite update will be available for download on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android at 2pm BST. Unlike traditional numbered updates, the new download adds new content but no major overhaul. The Fortnite studio will also be making a number of bug fixes, looking at the patch notes further down the page. Epic hasn’t made an official announcement yet, but it looks like the May 14 update won’t require any server downtime. This means you can start working again once the patch is installed.
According to a Fortnite insider: chinaThe headline feature of the May 14 update is the launch of the Wild Weeks event.
This will reportedly add several new quests that can be completed to unlock XP for the Battle Pass.
The Wild Weeks event will last until the end of the season. That means you can continue earning XP and completing missions until May 24th.
This is likely tied to the season-ending event that will revolve around a massive sandstorm covering the map.
Fans can also expect to see more from the Mount Olympus statue, which begins to come to life ahead of the Wild Weeks event.
Elsewhere, the new update brings various bug fixes while also revealing a Yoda item.
