You play as Coen, a new vampire trying to navigate a dangerous world where light and darkness coexist.
Rebel Wolves, a studio comprised of CD Projekt Red veterans, has announced its debut game. Dawnwalker’s Blood. Previously, the studio released a teaser image of the upcoming project that suggested a gothic theme, but now we know for sure that it will be a vampire story focused on the fight between light and darkness.
As announced, Dawnwalker’s Blood Players will see themselves embody a young vampire named Coen, who questions the nature of vampirism and its ongoing war against humanity. The game is set in an alternate 14th century, where vampires and plagues ravage human society, and vampires plot the complete downfall of their rivals.
“14th century Europe. A bloody conflict sweeps the land, and the Black Death strikes the survivors.” Rebel Wolves spoke about their new adventure. “Humanity is struggling for survival after being decimated by a disaster that has claimed thousands of lives. This is a moment of weakness. That’s all they need.”
“Vampires seize opportunities. They step out of the shadows and claim the freedom and power that has been denied them for centuries. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends become reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.”
Coen will “tread the border between the world of day and the realm of night” as he strives to push back the vampire forces or join them. Choice is at the heart of his journey. It appears that players will be able to shape Coen however they wish and decide what path lies ahead.
First, in the cinematic trailer for the upcoming game, we got a solid look at this conflict, including the dire situation facing humanity and what role the Coen will play in creating a brighter (or darker) future.
The trailer also revealed that gameplay will be released in the summer of 2025 (Northern Hemisphere), with more news expected in the coming months. appear Dawnwalker’s Blood is making significant progress in development and will have a new look soon.
