Read my thoughts on the CFP national title game below.
1. Who will have the most receiving yards?
Jeremiah Smith, Emeka Egbuka, canell tate, Jayden Greathouse
Jeremiah Smith needs 32 receiving yards to break the Big Ten single-season receiving yards record for a freshman. He already holds the Ohio State freshman records for catches, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns and the Big Ten freshman record for touchdown catches in a season. Notre Dame has already claimed it will play man coverage. If that’s true, I think the freshman prodigy will get him. Egbuka is a good pick here as well, as he needs 95 receiving yards to break the Ohio State career receiving yards record.
prediction: Jeremiah Smith
2. Rank who has the most rushing yards (from best to worst):
Riley Leonard, Jeremiah Love, Trebjorn Henderson, Queen Sean Judkins
Both teams are great at throwing the ball, but the two-headed monsters of Henderson and Judkins are too good to pass up. At CFP, Henderson is averaging 9.0 yards per rush and 11.4 yards per touch and will throw the ball in his final game as a Buckeye.
prediction: Henderson, Judkins, Love, Leonard
3. Which of the following happens?
will howard Pass at least 2 tank destroyers
Jeremiah Smith TD
Riley Leonard throws 1+ INT
doesn’t exist
As mentioned above, Smith is a genius. He had one catch for 3 yards against Texas, but in the previous two games he had 187 against Oregon and 103 against Tennessee, with two scores in each outing as well. Expect him to look like himself again.
prediction: Jeremiah Smith TD
4. What is the highest total number in a CFP Championship Game?
Total Charge Tank Destroyer
Total passing tank destroyer
total sales
Total Field Goal Attempts
Riley Leonard needs to finish with just 19 rushing yards to break the Notre Dame single-season rushing yards record by a quarterback. TreVeyon Henderson needs 33 rushing yards to reach 1,000 on the season and Quinshon Judkins needs just 40 rushing yards. Next we have Jeremiyah Love, who has rushed for 1,122 yards this season and needs just one rushing touchdown to tie the Notre Dame single-season record. There are too many rushing threats on both sides in this game to not have a rushing touchdown.
prediction: Total Charge Tank Destroyer
5. Rank who has the most total scrimmage yards (lowest to highest).
Zadarian PriceCanell Tate, Trebjorn Henderson, Jeremiah Love
Henderson has the second-most scrimmage yards in the CFP with 231 and needs two more touchdowns to become the third player in Ohio State history to reach 50 career scrimmage touchdowns. Love is a smart play here too.
prediction: Henderson, Love, Tate, Price.
6. What will be the outcome of this game?
ohio state Win with 9 or more points Our Lady Lose by 8 points or less
Ohio State has allowed more than 17 points only twice this season, and that was against the same team. oregon He scored 32 points in the first game against Ohio State and 21 points, including a late garbage time touchdown, in the Rose Bowl. Notre Dame’s offense is decent, but not explosive enough to generate points if they go down the field and dunk it.
prediction: Ohio State wins by 9 points or more
Tiebreaker: What will the final score be?
prediction: Ohio State 35, Notre Dame 24
