Charlotte FC News Release
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Forward Ethan Toclomati has signed with Crown Legacy FC from Israeli club Maccabi Petah Tikva.
The deal was completed before the close of the MLS secondary transfer window.
Toclomaty, 19, has made 70 appearances for Maccabi Petah Tikva since making his debut as a 17-year-old in 2022. He has scored 17 goals and added seven assists in all competitions.
“We are delighted to welcome another young international talent to Charlotte. Ethan is a player we have been following for quite some time,” said General Manager Zoran Krneta. “He is a versatile attacker with a thirst for goals, with a great combination of pace and technical ability. At just 19 years of age, he has already made 70 appearances at senior level and made his debut for the Israel national team in a major European qualifier. We are delighted that Ethan has chosen our organization as the best place for his professional development. Everyone at the club welcomes him to Charlotte.”
The striker helped the club secure promotion to the Israeli Premier League with a fine 11-goal performance in the 2022/23 season, and scored five goals in his debut season in the top flight in 2023/24.
Toclomaty made his debut for the Israel national team last year and has played four senior international matches in all competitions for UEFA Euro 2024. He will be a substitute for Israel at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
The striker has helped Israel advance deep into several youth international competitions. He played five games as Israel reached the semi-finals of the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Toclomaty played in the final of the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, where Israel finished runners-up behind England.
