Days after a video surfaced showing former India batsman Vinod Kambli struggling to walk due to health issues, a new clip has emerged in which he describes himself as “healthy and fine”. The latest video reportedly shows Kambli meeting his school friend Ricky Couto and top-class umpire Marcus Couto. In the video, Kambli adds that he is doing well. The video has come as a huge relief to Kambli’s ardent supporters, but NDTV has not been able to independently verify the authenticity of the two videos.
“I’m fine,” Kambly said in the latest video, giving a thumbs up. “By the grace of God, I’m alive. I’m healthy and fine. I’m ready to bat at No. 3 (just kidding). I’m going to hit spinners out of the pitch like I did at Shivaji Park!” he added.
