Season’s greetings! Floral designer and amaranthine Founder Liz Carter shared her holiday party essentials and tips with ET.
For starters, floral experts say displaying a bouquet of botanical paper flowers can help create a joyful atmosphere.
“Timeless arrangements will set off your holiday table with their timeless beauty and natural elegance. Designed to complement a variety of table settings, they won’t compete with your food or decorations. Best of all, they won’t fade away. A final toast is a holiday memory. “It lasts as long as it lasts,” she said.
And her hand-cut realistic flower petals and leaves made from Italian crepe paper are colored, shaped and crafted to capture the spirit of Christmas.
“This season is full of rich jewel tones like emeralds, rubies, and sapphires paired with metallic golds and bronzes… wicked combinations of pinks, burgundies, and greens,” she gushed.
In addition to displaying stunning centerpieces at their celebrations, entrepreneurs also like to provide a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere for their guests.
“Creating a welcoming atmosphere is down to simple touches like mood-setting music, cozy lighting and a relaxed approach. For food, choose a mix of crowd-pleasers and festive fare, and signature cocktails to match the theme. “To create a memorable evening, encourage fun interaction through a themed dress code, simple games, or a photo corner,” she recommended.
When it comes to gifts, Carter believes meaningful gifts are best.
“This year, I’m drawn to gifts that are comforting and inspiring: cozy blankets, artisan candles, and blank journals to jot down great ideas. It’s also important to support small businesses, so I’m looking for handcrafted items from local makers. Items and unique finds,” she said.
