The wait for the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is almost over, and fans of the series will soon be able to dive into the latest adventure in Square Enix’s Remake series. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, which took nearly two years to release on PC, Rebirth was released just 11 months after the PlayStation 5 launch. Following the success of the first part, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has already become a top seller on Steam and entered the platform’s top 25 list.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Enters Steam Top 25
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available for pre-order at a discounted price in multiple bundles on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Steam tracks bestsellers by revenue, so you can see a real-time list of bestselling titles on Steam. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is finally here. 25th It beat out upcoming titles like Civilization VII and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 to make the list.
The title is still three weeks away from release, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is expected to continue climbing the Steam charts until release.
It also helps provide discounted pricing during the pre-order period, including a bundle containing both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for newcomers to the remake series. Either way, this is good news for Square Enix, as the PC platform continues to deliver strong sales for the publisher.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Release Date
The game is coming to PC and the Epic Games Store. January 23, 2025.
Compared to Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Rebirth’s sales aren’t quite as strong, and we hope the next entry adopts a multi-platform approach at launch. Releasing a title currently enjoyed by players across multiple platforms only on PS5 will not help sales one bit.
Square Enix acknowledged this and announced a “new medium-term business plan.” From fiscal year 2025 to fiscal year 2027 “We will aggressively pursue a multi-platform strategy that includes Nintendo platforms, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC,” he said. PC is the key platform here, as it has seen success with numerous large and small Square Enix releases over the past few years.
