Tendulkar’s recognition came a day before the Ajit Agarkar-led national selection committee convened in Mumbai to select the Indian team for the upcoming Champions Trophy and ODI series against England.
Responding to Tendulkar’s praise, Nair said that his kind words meant a lot to him.
Nair’s outstanding performance took Vidarbha to the final of the tournament where they will face Karnataka on Saturday.
Tendulkar praised Nair, who is only the second Indian batsman to score three centuries in Test cricket after Virender Sehwag.
