Welcome to a new fiscal year at Cisco! The fall season means cooler weather, pumpkins, my favorite holidays, and for me, football. I’ve always been a fan of the Washington Commanders, the Washington, D.C.-based football team. The team has evolved a lot over the years, but I want to share something I recently learned that affects all football players, regardless of their specialty. It’s the evolution of the helmet.
English:After Admiral Joseph Mason Reeve was told that another strong blow to the head would result in “immediate insanity,” he and a local shoemaker created the first helmet made of moleskin in 1893. Over the years, helmets have become more technologically advanced, with better padding, more protective face bar protectors, and many other improvements added to aid and protect each player.
True evolution. We are responsible for how we remain relevant, innovative and competitive in a multifaceted organization. Like a helmet, we each have our own evolution that leaves its mark.
Exploring Evolution
As you’ve seen already this quarter, we’re committed to continuing to drive the AI movement as a Cisco priority. It’s an evolution that requires each of us to leave our mark as we work together to stay relevant, innovative, and competitive.
Pat Bodin, Cisco Global AI Architect, a longtime friend of mine, led a session for our distributors as well as our partner group. This session, which you can watch again using the link above, is a great starting point for understanding Cisco’s AI strategy, how to monetize AI, and where to start.
As you dive deeper into Cisco’s AI strategy, you’ll learn how Cisco is connecting and securing the AI era with solutions. You’ll learn how Cisco is building the infrastructure to power AI, how AI and security work together, how the Splunk acquisition helps each of us use data to drive insights and context, and how software can drive productivity and how services can accelerate the value of AI.

This event will not only help you accelerate your partner’s success, but also help you evolve with the latest markets, trends and technologies. Register now to make your mark in FY25.
