“I really want to play Storm,” Erivo told an interviewer. “I know it sounds cheesy, but I don’t think it reveals how amazing she is and all the inner turmoil she has.” The 38-year-old continued: “So I think there’s a world where we can do something with that.”
Storm, a weather-controlling superhero mutant, became famous in Marvel Comics in the 1970s. The character has been portrayed on the big screen by Alexandra Shipp and, most famously, Halle Berry.
While many online have shared their excitement since Erivo expressed interest in playing the silver-haired character, others seem to think she isn’t right for the role.
