Battlestate Games has revealed that Escape from Tarkov’s Winter Twitch Drops campaign will begin on December 30, and confirmed that the drops will be happening a few days ago. It’s a tradition at this point. These campaigns always begin a day or two after the game undergoes a platform-wide reset, known as a ‘wipe’.
The removal comes with update 0.16, a massive overhaul that promises a slew of new weapons, balance, and a rework of one of the game’s fan-favorite maps, Customs.
If you wipe it, drops will come out.
The Escape from Tarkov website states that the Winter Drops campaign will run from December 30th to January 4th, and the Escape from Tarkov Arena drops campaign will run from January 4th to January 8th.
The developer advised streamers to register if they wanted to participate in the campaign, and content creators were allocated time slots based on availability. It’s easy to imagine the biggest streamers who will participate in the Winter Drops campaign. This is the time of year when they make the most money.
Companies like Landmark, Pestily, WillerZ, Glorious, StankRat, Gingy, and Trey will all be streaming Tarkov around the clock to support the Drop and Twitch Drops campaigns.
It hasn’t been confirmed what rewards viewers will receive, but last year users had to rack up dozens of hours of watch time to unlock random gift drops in Escape from Tarkov. Some viewers unlocked thousands of rounds of ammo, while others received noodle packs or their equivalent.

As the New Year holidays approach, one of the most anticipated events in the community begins: the annual Twitch Drops event. This is a great opportunity to receive in-game gifts and enjoy the festive season.
