Manchester United have finally dismissed Erik ten Hag as club manager following a 2-1 loss to West Ham United in the Premier League at the end of October.
It was a decision INEOS had to make after a terrible start to the season that left United bottom of the table and well behind the Europa League.
Portugal coach Ruben Amorim has been appointed as Ten Hag’s permanent successor after Ruud van Nistelrooy stabilized the team for several games.
The Netherlands coach is said to be ‘absolutely devastated’ to lose his job at Old Trafford after making the North West his home for the past two-and-a-half years.
The 54-year-old enjoyed a meal before returning to his Manchester mansion back in the city, the Daily Mail reports.
Ten Hag was spotted at Italian restaurant Piccolino in Hale Village with his wife Bianca. This was a regular spot for the former manager while he was in town.

But the couple’s ultimate reason for returning was to clear out their possessions at a nearby mansion as they prepared to move on to a new chapter in their lives.
Despite ultimately losing his place due to poor form, the Dutchman left United after winning back-to-back trophies, including a memorable FA Cup win over Manchester City in May.
Ten Hag has been tipped to return to action almost immediately, with Italian giants Roma reportedly hoping to lure him to Serie A.
But talks broke down and the former Ajax man remains a free agent and still eyeing his next move.
Meanwhile, the successor Amorim has placed his foot firmly in Ten Hag’s shoes as he attempts to reverse the chaos caused by some sloppy displays since the start of the campaign.
Amorim’s first task is a trip to newly promoted Ipswich Town on Sunday. There, the new manager will try desperately to get his term off to the best start possible.
