Epic Games has announced plans to simplify Fortnite’s pass progression system.
Until December 1, all passes for Fortnite will be earned simultaneously by earning XP by playing all experiences (Battle Royale, Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival).
This is already the case with the Battle Royale Battle Pass. From November 2nd, this will also apply to the new Music Pass, which replaces the Festival Pass. And on December 1st, changes are coming to the Brick or Treat Lego Pass as well.
Festival Points, Battle Stars, and Studs will no longer be used, and the Music Pass and LEGO Pass will be replaced with one track containing both free and premium rewards, similar to how the Battle Pass works.
Players must purchase the passes separately to access all the premium rewards each pass offers.
“Be careful,” Epic said. “Soon you will have an easy way to get all your Premium Passes at once.”
“Want something from the pass that you haven’t unlocked yet? “Instead of purchasing levels to unlock rewards, you can now purchase pass rewards (up to the maximum allowed) directly without progressing from a purchased active pass,” the FAQ added.
Epic recently announced that some Fortnite Battle Pass items will no longer be exclusive. It was stated that all types of items in the Battle Pass could be sold separately after 18 months.
