England have announced their home fixtures for next season, with the men and women taking on India in simultaneous series in the mid-summer. The ECB has also confirmed that Lord’s will host the first women’s Test when India returns for a one-off match in 2026.
The 2025 season will see a joint visit by the West Indies men’s and women’s teams, while the England men’s team will play a one-off Test match against Zimbabwe before hosting South Africa for an ODI and T20I series in the summer.
The international season begins on May 21 at the St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury, when England Women play the West Indies in the first of three T20Is, followed by three ODIs.
The men’s team will begin with a four-day Test match against Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge from May 22-25. This will be their first international match since the 2007 World T20, before the white-ball team plays three ODIs and three T20Is against West Indies.
England’s fifth Test against India begins at Headingley on June 20, with back-to-back games at Edgbaston and Lord’s before heading to Old Trafford and The Oval.
At the same time, England Women’s team will face India in five T20I matches, the first of which will be played at Trent Bridge on June 28, followed by a three-match ODI series which will also see the two teams meet at Lord’s.
With the Hundred likely to be played for most of August, England’s men’s schedule concludes with a six-match white-ball series against South Africa before heading to Ireland for a three-match ODI series.
ECB chief executive Richard Gould said: “Having the England Men’s and England Women’s series side by side has been popular with fans and has supported the continued growth of the women’s game, following the success of last year’s Ashes and the Pakistan series earlier this year.”
“I am delighted to be doing the same again next year for the West Indies and India series. I think cricket fans will have a great time and I hope we can all come together to support both the men’s and women’s teams.
“The India tour is always a huge attraction and a highlight of the cricket summer. The last men’s Test series here was a close one and I am sure next year’s fixtures will be equally exciting. The women’s series, on the other hand, is always a tight affair. I am delighted that following the men’s Test series this year, the two West Indian teams will once again be taking part in the white-ball series.
“It will be a historic moment to invite Zimbabwe back to play a men’s Test match. It has been over 20 years since they last visited. Test cricket is very much loved in this country and we know we have a vital role to play in supporting Test cricket in developing countries so that the format of the game can thrive in the future.
“I am also delighted to confirm that Indian women will return in 2026 to play England women in the first ever women’s Test match at Lord’s. It will be a really special event and one of real significance.”
