Baku, Azerbaijan, January 25th. The European Investment Bank (EIB) has tried to provide technical support to five regions of Greece as part of its efforts to phase the League Knight and turn into climate neutrality by 2026.
The EIB will be guided by Western Macedonia, Megalopolis, CreTe and North and South Breees through the Investeu Advisory Hub.
EIB’s 2.75 million euros support will help these regions to design investment programs to revitalize the local economy, promote renewable energy, and create sustainable job opportunities. The thorough stage of Greek League Night, which ends the use of this high -emission energy source, requires strategic plans to prevent the area affected by coal factor and mining closure.
EIB vice president Yannis tsakiris said, “EIB is dedicated to not allowing the region to remain by exploring the challenge of green transition. The bank will provide expertise in preparing for investment plans, institutional strengthening, project management and support for EU goals and European green transactions.
This initiative is part of Greece’s “Just Transition Plan” and the EU’s Just Transition mechanism and is the most influenced by the transition to a low -carbon economy. EIB’s work is based on previous support for similar efforts in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.
