When EA Sports College Football 25 launches in July, it will be missing one of its key platforms: PC. For the first time in 11 years, a college football video game will be available exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, according to reliable data miner billbil-kun.
Not only is it not available on PC, but the game isn’t available on the latest generation Xbox One or PlayStation 4 either.
According to the report, “College Football 25 is only available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.” “So unfortunately, like the older games in the NCAA Football series, it is not available on PC.”
Insider Gaming has learned from the beginning that the game was planned to release on PC “at some point.” However, it appears that the next version of the game will be released based on the development status of the first game.
Aside from the fact that the game will not be released on PC or newer generation systems, Billbil-kun added that the game will be released in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s. The game’s official cover will be released on Thursday, May 16th.
Billbil-kun explains the game’s cover:
“(W)e can be seen on this cover, from left to right, front view players: Texas’ Quinn Ewers, Colorado’s Travis Hunter, and Michigan’s Donovan Edwards holding a football player. Moreover, these players are smiling in the middle of a stadium empty of supporters.”
EA Sports has yet to confirm platforms for EA Sports College Football 25. Another football franchise, Madden NFL, is available on PC and is identical to the current-generation console version.
