Phil McGraw, known as Dr. Phil, raised eyebrows over how he described Donald Trump during an interview with the former president that aired Thursday.
“I know you have thick skin,” McGraw told the notoriously thin-skinned presumed GOP presidential candidate, who frequently criticizes those who attack him and claims in the same spot that revenge “may be justifiable.” .
“You are not the kind of person who suffers from the need to be loved by strangers. All right.” McGraw added.
Trump responded, “I think that’s true.”
McGraw was widely criticized for conducting the interview with Trump and giving the convicted former POTUS a platform.
Praise for a former TV therapist’s ‘thick skin’ sparked accusations of gaslighting and other claims.
