The DJI Neo is a fantastic starter drone and an all-round fun drone for seasoned drone owners.
One of the most notable aspects is that the NEO doesn’t require a phone or remote controller to fly. You can fly your NEO by simply selecting automation Flight mode using the mode button on top.

Download photos and videos
As mentioned, the DJI NEO does not have a removable SD card. All media is stored on 22GB internal storage. Despite this limitation, thankfully content stored on NEO can be accessed using a variety of methods.
These methods are:
- Download/transfer files to PC or Mac using Direct Connect method
- Copy files directly to your smartphone while connected For DJI RC-N3 or RC-N2
- Fast transfer function
Download using a Windows PC
step 1: connect a USB to USB-C Connect the USB side of the cable to an empty USB slot on your Windows PC.
step 2: Connect the USB-C end to the NEO while the NEO is turned off.
step 3: Your Windows PC should recognize your NEO internal storage in the background. I previously displayed my NEO internal storage like this: inside nerves.
memo: As with DJIS’ latest line of drones, there’s no need to power the NEO to access its internal storage when connected to a Mac via USB-C.
STEP 4: Windows/File Explorer May It starts automatically. otherwise Open Windows/File Explorer by Right-click on the Windows icon Select File Explorer at the bottom of your PC.
STEP 5: When you open File Explorer, you will see your Neo internal drive on the left.
As mentioned, I previously named mine inside nerves I regularly connect it to my PC to easily distinguish it from my drives and drones.
Step 6: You can see its contents after your click neo interior save.
STEP 7: Selecting the DCIM folder will take you to the directory where your media is stored. The DJI standard is DJI_001 directory. Yours may be different.
Step 8: You can right-click to copy all files to a directory of your choice on your PC. DJI_001 Directory and selection copy.
Alternatively, you can click and select the files you want to copy and then move them. Step 9.
STEP 9: To paste a file or directory into a selected folder/directory, navigate to the Explorer window, find the directory you want to copy, open the directory, right-click and kneading To the above location.

Download using your Mac

Step 4: Double-click the storage drive icon on your desktop. A Mac Finder window will open showing the contents of your internal storage.
STEP 5: Double-click to access photos or videos on NEO DCIM folder.
Step 6: Next double click on DJI_001 Directory (yours may be different). You can find DNG (RAW), JPEG and MP4 files.
STEP 7: If you want to copy all files to a directory of your choice on your Mac, you can right-click on the DJI_001 directory and select Copy.
You can also pick and choose the files you want to copy.
Step 8: To paste a file or directory into a selected folder/directory, navigate to the Finder window, find the directory you want to copy, open the directory, right-click on it, and paste it there.

Download using DJI RC-N3 or RC-N2
If you have purchased a DJI Neo RC-N3 combo or are using a previously purchased DJI RC-N2, you can copy files directly to your smart device while connected to the DJI Fly app.
We mentioned DJI RC-N3 or RC-N2 as controllers that can be used to copy NEO files. But photos and videos Currently it is not possible to copy from NEO to THE DJI RC 2 remote controller.
Files from DJI NEO are copied directly to your Android or iOS smartphone or device via the DJI Fly app.
To download files directly from the DJI Fly app to your Android or iOS smartphone or device:
STEP 1: With your NEO running and connected to the DJI RC-N3 or RC-N2, return to the main DJI Fly screen.
STEP 2: choose album
You can then view photos, videos, or any content.
Step 3: Step 3: You can select or download files individually by pressing the check mark in the upper right corner to enter batch selection mode. You can select multiple files.
STEP 4: Select the files you need and then press the Download button at the bottom right.
You will see a progress bar and indicator to let you know that the file is being downloaded.
You can then access these files within your phone or tablet editor, or in your favorite photo browsing app.

Use fast transfer
The Quick Transfer feature allows you to wirelessly export content from DJI NEO internal storage to your Android or iOS (Apple) smartphone or device.
This is ideal for people who want to quickly edit photos or videos and immediately share them with family, friends or social media.
Items required for QuickTransfer function:
- DJI NEO (no remote controller required)
- Smart device/phone
- DJI Fly is loaded on your smart device
memo: If you are using DJI RC2, you cannot currently export photos and videos to the remote using the QuickTransfer feature. RC does not have editing capabilities, so content transfer is not supported. You need to edit it on your Android or iOS smart device.
To use the QuickTransfer feature:
Step 1: Remove the Gimbal Guard and de-power the NEO.
Step 2: Open the DJI Fly app
On the left side of the home screen DJI-NEO-XXXX detected; connect. Click the connection box.
Step 3: Step 3: After pressing Connect, DJI Fly will ask you to connect to the NEO network. Tap Sign Up.

Step 4: Tap The back button at the top of the Neo home screen returns you to the DJI Fly Home screen.
Step 5: Once on DJI Fly Home Screen Press Wi-Fi devices – NEO connection. This will give you options View Neo albums or control NEO.
