Disneyland Paris has unveiled a new name for Walt Disney Studios Park as part of a $2 billion transformation of the park.
Walt Disney Studios Park will become Disney Adventure World when a new immersive destination, World of Frozen, opens.
Changes to Walt Disney Studios Park will nearly double its size.
“We’re evolving the stories at Walt Disney Studios Park from ‘How It Was Done’ soundstages to adventures brought to life in Memorial Theaters and immersive worlds,” said Tom Fitzgerald, Chief Storytelling Officer and Chief Creative Officer, Walt Disney Imagineering. “He said. In the case of Disneyland Paris.
“The fully realized adventure world will be the focus of the park’s new identity, appearing as an area where guests will be invited to discover as they explore deeper within the park and take part in adventures inspired by its most beloved stories.”
As part of the rebrand, the park’s entrance is also being reimagined, with its current design replaced with “elaborate décor that pays homage to Hollywood’s historic movie theaters and the entertainment industry as a whole.”
“We are introducing a new, creative vision that completely redefines the second gate, embracing changes that have overhauled more than 90% of Walt Disney Studios Park since its debut in 2002,” said Natacha Rafalski, president of Disneyland Paris.
Previous investments in the property include World of Pixar, which opened at the park in 2021, and Avengers Campus (2022).
