Hello readers. June 20, 2024 Welcome to the SwitchArcade recap. Today is Thursday. That means there are plenty of new releases to check out. Here’s a game that isn’t very noteworthy, but looks interesting nonetheless. Maybe you will buy one! Maybe you don’t. I can only show you. We will also show you sales. Because that’s what we do here. Let’s find out all about it now before someone else comes along and tempts you into spending money. That’s my job!
Select new release
Operation Steel ($9.99)
Despite the obvious Gradius II The homage going on in that screenshot is one of those rogue-lite-esque tasks where the stages are procedurally generated and you have to upgrade your ship. This means a huge amount of effort. I’m a little tired of these, but I know some of you can’t get enough of them. Perhaps this is what you are looking for today.
Dice Spoke ($14.99)
This is a really interesting and well-made deck (dice) building roguelite, with the usual strategies you’d expect from the genre and some interesting twists, like being able to control both sides in a fight. The game has a major component where you collect creatures, which changes things up even more. I’ll be doing a review of this game soon, but I really enjoyed playing it.
Ylands: Nintendo Switch Edition ($24.99)
It’s one of those all-in-a-bagel type of games that involve crafting, exploration, survival, combat, and more. You can play the game in adventure mode and have fun traversing six different zones, or you can launch creative mode and roll. It’s a little bit around the sandbox. While the reviews for this game on Steam are quite mixed, this seems to be mainly about the price issue, which I’m sure isn’t relevant here. I have some concerns about the Switch’s potential technical capabilities, but I haven’t had a chance to play this version yet, so I can’t really speak to that.
DarkStar One – Nintendo Switch Edition ($29.99)
Here’s a blast from the past. Dark Star One is a space simulation first released on computers in 2006. vintage At this point. I have a little feeling Elite/Freelance Experience the experience of traveling through space in a spaceship and engaging in trade, combat, and more. It was okay then, and it’s okay now, but it definitely feels some of the weight of that era. Still, there aren’t many games like this on Switch, so you might be interested anyway.
EGGCONSOLE Tritorn PC-8801 ($6.49)
this time Egg console The line is a 1985 release by Sein Soft. tritonAction RPG inspired by Namco’s games dragon buster. as usual Egg console, the game is available in its original Japanese format. I can’t tell you how big the problem is just yet, but I’ll let you know once the review is complete. I’m hoping there will be simpler games in this line again soon, but I’m still engaged enough to not be too bothered by all these weird releases.
Arcade Archives Rastan Saga II ($7.99)
Some innocent soul is seeing this and thinking, “Wow, I love it.” truth! I didn’t know there was a sequel! That’s cool!”, and I’d like to tell you that we’ve all been there once. I hope I can save some of you from disappointment by telling you this. Real Saga II It’s not as good as the first game. Actually it’s quite like that bad. The big sprites are nice and the music is as good as you’d expect from Taito, but the gameplay is clunky and boring. truth He was able to get some redemption in his third and final game, but this one was so bad I’m surprised they made another one. The hamster was treated as usual, so if anyone has any happy memories… Here it is.
EverAfter Falls ($19.99)
Sure. This is another slow life game with a mystical atmosphere. It never hurts to have more of these. The setup here is that cold life goes on in Everafter Falls, but you wake up one day to find out it was just a simulation. As you slowly start your new life, it will definitely become a comfortable place. A few things while playing… You will notice something unusual. What does it mean? It’s up to you if you have the courage to do so. The game supports local co-op with other players, so you can even bring a friend.
Cave Digger 2 ($14.99)
it is the same cave digger, But more than that cave digger. Want more? cave digger? Here you go. That’s as much as I can say about this. Because I didn’t want it anymore. cave digger.
Tavern Talk ($21.99)
There have been enough games like this by now, so it’s safe to say this is just another game about mixing and serving drinks while getting to know the bar’s patrons. What makes this game special is that it is set in a fantasy world. It seems well made for what it is, so if that’s the “is” you’re after, you might want to look into it more closely.
Gardens of Banban I-IV ($1.99 – $9.99)
Four games built around the story of using drones to explore the mysterious Banban kindergarten facility. Many people have disappeared, and you must uncover the secrets of the bizarre place. Solve puzzles and advance through each room. Although it’s popular enough to have billions of dollars worth of installments, its reviews are less than enthusiastic. Well, do what you will with that.

That’s it for today, friends. We’ll be back next week with more new games, more sales figures, reviews, and maybe some news. There likely won’t be as much news this week. I’m incredibly tired today, so I fall asleep tapping away at my keyboard. It’s not a big deal, but there are days like that. I hope you all have a great Thursday, and as always, thanks for reading!
