Young wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel stole the spotlight on Day 3 of the Dulleep Trophy match between India A and India B. Although he didn’t make much of an impact with the bat, Jurel showed off his wicketkeeping skills by taking five catches, including a stunning diving catch that got Musher Khan out.
Jurel’s heroics behind the stumps were crucial in India A’s comeback against India B. He took two early catches to get Yashasvi Jaiswal and Abhimanyu Easwaran out, giving India A a strong start. Later in the innings, Jurel’s acrobatic skills came into full effect as he took a full-stretch diving catch to get Musheer Khan out off an Avesh Khan delivery.

Dhruv Jurel’s catch
The diving catch was particularly impressive as Musher Khan attempted a shot with fine leg. Jurel’s quick reactions and agility allowed him to make a spectacular catch, leaving Khan and the fielders in awe.
Jurel’s wicketkeeping performance was further enhanced by his dismissal of Rishabh Pant, who was performing well for India B. Jurel took a good catch from Khaleel Ahmed to dismiss Pant and help India A restrict India B’s lead to 240 runs on Day 3.
Jurel, 23, has made a name for himself with his impressive performances. He recently made his Test debut against England and scored 190 runs in four innings. He is likely to compete with Rishabh Pant for the wicketkeeping position in the home Tests against Bangladesh and New Zealand, but Jurel’s performances in the Duleep Trophy have certainly shown his talent and potential.
