The ongoing legal battle between the Nintendo & The Pokemon Company team and Palworld developer Pocketpair is heating up, but development of new content for Palworld isn’t slowing down. Now the company has announced a surprise collaboration with Terraria that will take place in 2025.
It was released via the game’s social channels, along with the original promo art you can see above. Details about the nature of this collaboration/crossover have not yet been shared, as the focus is elsewhere at the moment, but needless to say, we’re very intrigued.

In addition to the crossover announcement, which may or may not be interpreted as an update for both games, an entirely new island filled with new creatures and challenges will be added to Palworld in December, which the developers are calling “the biggest, harshest, and harshest island yet.” “Mysterious” yet. For those deep into the game, the size of the new land mass is about six times the size of Sakurajima. The official post also includes screenshots. Check it out below:

Although the hype around Palworld isn’t as high as it was earlier this year, Pocketpair’s survival crafting game, which features Pokémon-like creatures and some familiar mechanics, is enjoying an ‘overwhelmingly positive’ rating on Steam and counting. Daily player counts are in the thousands, and that doesn’t even include everyone playing on Xbox and, more recently, PS5.
If Terraria is to receive Palworld-themed content in 2025, it will mark another major update for Re-Logic’s game after the developers have repeatedly stated that they are moving away from the fantastic 2D creation classic that launched in 2011.
In other Palworld-adjacent news, fans were upset that The Game Awards recently ignored the game, and the game’s CM jumped in and said the community needs to relax. Earlier today we also learned of a cheeky Tencent-backed Horizon rip-off titled Light of Motiram that has led some to consider Palworld’s complicated relationship with Pokemon as a ‘source of inspiration’ (to put it mildly).
