A new, viral political video featuring men declaring they are “man enough” to support Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign also includes Hollywood actors and comedians.
A grassroots ad posted last week by Jimmy Kimmel’s former producer has garnered millions of views on social media, with critics calling the video endorsing Harris “the most relentless political ad ever.” The video’s director said it was made for a group called Creatives for Harris, adding that although the video was a joke, its message was “true.”
A disclaimer included with the 90-second video says the video was not approved by any candidate or candidate committee, but was filmed as if it were an official campaign ad.
The film features six masculine men who claim to be so masculine that they eat “vaporizers for breakfast” and are “not afraid of bears.” At the same time, women said they were not afraid and would support Harris in the Oval Office.
The ‘MAN ENOUGH’ video supporting Harris has been mocked as ‘the most brutal political ad ever made’.
The video was criticized by conservatives and other critics on social media, who last week questioned whether it was a parody and claimed Democrats “don’t know how real men talk.”
fox business For example, senior correspondent Charles Gasparino said: “It’s so bizarre that the political left, who for years propagated the hoi poi that men can be women and women can be men, that men can compete in women’s sports because we’re all human. I think genderless beings now have the credibility to say what a real man is. “I’m sorry I ruined it all those years ago.”
“This is a must-see Kamala ad,” said David Reaboi, a fellow at the Claremont Institute. “I have no idea how real men talk, and I can’t find a convincing male actor.”
The original YouTube page, which provides details on the video stating that the man in the unofficial advertisement is a cast member of the video, lists the names of the actors as Winston Carter, Chris Gibson, Lanre Idewu, Tony Ketcham, Mike Leffingwell, and Wayland McQueen.
Fox News Digital found IMDB pages for actors, most of whom have appeared in minor roles in Hollywood films or appeared in low-budget films or short videos.
For example, actor Winston Carter, who plays the burly man in the cowboy hat, has appeared in several low-budget films and short videos since 2011, according to his IMDB page. Tony Ketcham, the actor who plays the old man who isn’t shy about his love for “West Side Story” and his support of Harris, also lists credits on his IMDB page for some parts in movies like “Ghost World,” in which he played a role. I’m doing it. “The Alcoholics Anonymous” from the 2001 film and an episode of “The X-Files” from the same year.
In the video, Lanre Idewu plays a man who goes to the gym “so much so that he can do 500 deadlifts and braid s–” into his daughter’s hair. He has an extensive IMDB page that includes work as a producer on Hallmark Christmas movies, dating back to a 2006 episode of “Arrested Development.” Idewu also posted photos on his social media pages with Democratic elected officials, including: President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

Two of the actors in the video are members of the Upright Citizens Brigade, an improvisational comedy group in Los Angeles. Wayland McQueen plays a farming man surrounded by hay bales and is currently listed as a member of the Comedy Brigade, having performed since 2008. Social media users who researched the actor in the ad also reportedly noticed something McQueen posted on Twitter. About identifying and acknowledging “white privilege.”
Another member of the Upright Citizens Brigade is Mike Leffingwell, who stood next to a horse in an unofficial campaign ad and declared that he was “confident not to be afraid” of women, according to the comedy group’s website. Some of his bio on the page is Leffingwell. “I’ve written comics for Dreamworks and Netflix, jokes for the Onion and The Late Late Show, and a series of Shorty Award-winning commercials for Tubi. On TV he has appeared in The Goldbergs, Conan and many interesting product commercials.”

The sixth man listed as an actor in the video, Chris Gibson, also appears to be an actor, and Fox Digital found an IMDB page touting an actor by that name, but couldn’t confirm who is the man in the ad. I couldn’t.

Some social media users pointed out that the actors in the video over the weekend were playing manly men supporting Harris, sparking new criticism online.
“The campaign is so fake. They even have to fake fake passion. They are so bad at this. Do they honestly not know that Google exists? wow.” One X account posted in response to a thread detailing the actors in the video.
“This explains why liberals don’t know what a real man is,” said another poster.
“Everything they do is fake,” said another.
The ad was created by Jacob Reed, who directed ‘Funny or Die’ and ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ He told Fast Company last week that the ad was created for Creatives for Harris, a grassroots group of producers, writers and advertising executives who support Harris.
Reed wrote on Substack that the video was “more sketch comedy than a political ad,” adding, “What these guys are saying is true.”
“With the emergence of role models like Tim Walz and Doug Emhoff on the national stage, I think the left is finally finding its footing in how to talk about masculinity. I hope this campaign can begin to shape that conversation. Because although it’s more like a sketch comedy than a political ad, what these guys say is true, except they’re afraid of bears. The bear will kill you.” Reid posted, describing those involved in the project as “volunteers.”
