The latest report is as follows: Corriere dello sports Roma are said to be considering former Giallorossi defender Kostas Manolas on the free transfer market.
There are reports that Manolas, who remains out of contract after his brief loan spell at Salernitana ended in May, could be set to return to the Italian capital.
Roma are still looking at the free agent market after signing Mario Hermoso on a long-term contract, looking to replace Chris Smalling, who moved to Alfahra.
Roma’s top transfer target is Mats Hummels, who is in talks to join the capital club on a one-year deal with an option for a further year.
However, negotiations with the German center back are not yet concluded. Roma have offered €2 million plus a contract fee until June, and after a certain number of matches, they will extend the contract for the same amount until 2026.
Hummels took another 24 hours to think things over after consulting his father, Hermann, who acts as his manager.
The paper reports that Costas Manolas has agreed to join Giallorossi and could become Hummels’ successor.
