The story of Missouri Democratic Rep. Cori Bush miraculously curing a woman with a tumor and making her sick child walk has resurfaced.
In his 2022 autobiography, “Pioneers: An American Story of Pain and Perseverance,” Bush wrote about his time working as a faith healer. During that time, the New York Post first reported that she claimed to have within herself an almost supernatural ability to heal others.
One example involved helping a disabled toddler to walk.
President Bush wrote, “The child suffered a cerebral hemorrhage right after birth and was unable to walk,” adding, “The child has never been able to walk on his feet in his entire life.” “I held my child in the prayer room at the back of the church and went out to the chapel… And this girl took her first step, and then another.”
Cori Bush accused of ‘grifting’ on Mike Brownbill introduction: ‘She knows she’s lying’
“Her grandmother came into the reserve just in time to see the child walking about 20 steps. She screamed, and continued to scream,” she continued. “She caught her breath and looked at me in wonder and she said, ‘Praise God.’ “She grabbed her granddaughter and walked out of the church with her,” he said.
Another example is when Bush treated a woman with multiple tumors.
“One woman we met had several prominent tumors on her torso. She was scheduled to have surgery, but she had no health insurance and was living in a park. One of the tumors was particularly painful for her. I gave her a hand. I laid it on her and prayed and it seemed like my hand could no longer touch the tumor and it had shrunk along with the other hands on her body.”
The ‘Squad’ member also suggested that this was done through the power of God within her.
“As I learned how to apply God’s Word to my life in new ways, I gained a greater understanding of the strength that was already within me,” Bush wrote.
She continued, “It was waiting for me to acknowledge it and use it. I had the confidence to heal others with the power of God.”

According to the New York Post, Bush’s autobiography was published in 2022, but sold only 729 copies in the first week.
EMBASSED REP CORI BUSH IS FACING A CAMPAIGN CASH CRISIS. Trail of major challengers in reserves
Her history as a faith healer has resurfaced less than two months before the Aug. 6 Missouri primary. Bush is currently facing off against her main challenger, Wesley Bell, both in the polls and in campaign financing.
Past filings show her committee spent just $215,000 in January. Bell appeared to be in a better position, reporting $408,000 to the bank.
