(CelebrityAccess) — California metal band Coal Chamber has announced that they are postponing their Fiend for the Fans tour until 2025 while the band’s frontman Dez Papara recovers from health issues.
The tour, which also features Coal Chamber, Fear Factory, Twizted and Black Satellite, was originally scheduled to begin in late August, but will now begin in March 2025.
Papa Ra announced the change in schedule and detailed the terrifying experience she had after going for a jog.
“With a heavy heart, I’m here to tell you about a life turning point. I’m writing this from my bed. Running 6 miles every day, practicing 2 hours a day in my home studio, excited to get on the road, excited to ride the bus with my brothers, sisters, and crew. I’ve never felt better, and as you all know, I’ve been fighting hard since COVID tried to kill me,” Pappara wrote.
“I woke up Saturday morning and I was walking up the stairs. I had flashes of light in my eyes. I passed out and my wife saved my life. My vitals were at their peak, I was turning pale and vomiting, my whole world was spinning. Anastasia called 911. I ended up in the back of an ambulance and spent nine hours in the ER having every vital tested, including X-rays of my heart and lungs. The doctor recommended a CT scan, and I’m on bed rest until they can do more testing and postpone the tour. My agent jumped in to reschedule the tour to March 2025 until they can figure out what’s going on medically,” he added.
“After hearing the devastating news about our brother, we had to make a difficult decision as a family. We discussed every possible scenario and the result was to put Dez’s health first. We need to take this extra time to allow him to fully recover so we can be 100% and give you the show you deserve!! We look forward to seeing you all in March 2025,” added Coal Chamber’s Mikey Cox.
According to the band, all dates have already been rescheduled to the updated schedule below.
