CNN has published several controversial reports on the death of former NFL player OJ Simpson, and why people are happy that he was acquitted of the double murder of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. We struggled several times to deliver.
Correspondent Stephanie Elam was first with her analysis Thursday afternoon.
Elam, the network’s climate change analyst, seemed to imply that people were happy to see that OJ, a black celebrity, could get away with murder.
“It’s also worth noting, Jake, how much of an impact this trial has had, because so much has happened. We have seen security change here in the city,” she began.
“And it’s worth noting because of the racial unrest and the racial unrest of the ‘90s. That’s why a lot of people who might not have invested in OJ Simpson, who are rich and famous and black…” Elam paused for a moment and continued, “… and what other people have done in the system as well.”
JUST IN—CNN’s Stephanie Elam, reporting on OJ Simpson’s death, accidentally said the quiet part loudly.
“So many people were happy to see that a rich, famous, black person could get away with what others in the system did.” pic.twitter.com/7j4zPCULo5

CNN Analyst – OJ Simpson helped right the wrongs of slavery by killing white people.
A new day has arrived with Friday. CNN made a new start by covering OJ Simpson. But it didn’t get much better. In fact, commentator Ashley Allison made it even worse with her own analysis.
Allison says OJ was clearly not a social justice warrior; did Represents the black community. why? Because his victims were white.
“I cheered and was happy. “I don’t think there was any concept of who was guilty and who wasn’t.” She said she was only in 8th grade when her OJ got off.
“It was met with racist accusations, not only because of the Rodney King incident that had happened right before, but also because of how black Americans feel about policing.”
“OJ Simpson was not the leader of the civil rights movement of his time. As you know, he was not a social justice leader,” explains Allison.
“But he represented something for the black community at that moment in that trial, especially because two white people were murdered,” she says. “And there is also the history of how black people were persecuted during slavery. There were too many layers.”
WTF: A CNN contributor suggested a black man identified as OJ because he killed a white man.
“(OJ) represented something to the black community in that moment, in that trial, especially because two white people were murdered.”

Interesting analysis
OJ Simpson, 76, died Thursday at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, after a battle with prostate cancer. CNN failed miserably to convey why his acquittal for the brutal murder of his wife and friend was welcomed by some.
Or maybe it was a success. definitely there was Many people were happy to see him ‘get away with anything’.
And an equally large contingent that he wanted to flee because it would be a victory over the police, the victims be damned because they were white.
Former CNN contributor Marc Lamont Hill, who was fired in the past for extreme comments, also raised eyebrows with his views on the OJ Simpson case.
“OJ Simpson was a violent liar who abandoned his community long before he murdered two people in cold blood. “His acquittal for murder was the right and necessary result of a racist criminal justice system,” he wrote in X.
“But he is still a monster, not a martyr.”
Allison and Elam don’t seem to agree.
