Chris Pratt has sent a sad tribute to Anna Faris amidst the tragic situation.
In August 2017, Pratt and Paris announced their separation. It was the last of one of the once beloved Hollywood marriages.
The recent Los Angeles wildfires burned thousands of homes.
Chris Pratt also provided an update on his ex-wife when he went to check on her.
On Wednesday, January 22, Chris Pratt shared a video of himself checking out his home on his Instagram account.
“Okay, I’ll check when I get home,” he told his fans and followers. “Miraculously, it’s still standing.”
Pratt then added: “By the grace of God we have four walls and a roof.”
“You know, it’s really devastating,” the actor said. “The silver lining is that my home was saved, but at the same time, so many people’s homes around us burned down.”
Chris Pratt then addressed his 12-year-old son Jack and ex-wife Anna Faris.
“My son’s school is gone. My son’s mom’s house burned down. “Dozens of our friends have lost their homes,” he said. “It’s tough and we’re resilient. We trust in God and consider all of this a blessing.”
For the most part, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are subtle when they talk about each other (if they ever do that).
After praising how the Los Angeles community has come together, Pratt assured fans, “Now that we’re getting our lives back together, I’ll have more updates.”
“Here it is. God bless you,” he told his followers. “Thank you for your prayers. “Speak quickly.”
Pratt wrote in his caption: “Praying for LA and everyone affected, we will get through this together. God bless you.”
Currently, Chris Pratt lives with his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger. They have three young children: 4-year-old Lyla, 2-year-old Eloise, and 2-month-old Ford.
But Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were once a beloved celebrity couple.
Their marriage appears to have become complicated. In some ways, it has to do with Pratt’s role changing as his career takes off. There is also a perception that Pratt went through a crisis due to Jack’s health issues when he was younger, and that he and Paris are no longer compatible.
It would probably be unmerciful to interpret Chris Pratt as believing that his God intentionally allowed his ex-wife’s house (and thousands of other homes) to burn.
Rather, people were allowed to count their blessings. And it is very common for religious or spiritual people to frame their experiences according to their theological beliefs. Especially after the fear of disaster.
There’s a very valid question about how Pratt presents himself to the world. And there’s a very good reason why he’s the “least popular Chris” among many moviegoers. But not because he’s a religious dude who’s grateful to be alive.
