England white-ball captain Jos Buttler will miss the Hundred due to a calf injury, the batsman has revealed.
The 33-year-old, who had taken a break after England conceded the Twenty20 World Cup title in June, was due to lead the 100-ball match against last year’s runners-up Manchester Originals.
“I’m sad to say I won’t be able to compete in The Hundred this year,” he wrote on Instagram late Saturday.
“We wish Manchester Originals good luck for the rest of their campaign. They are working hard to get back to 100% health as quickly as possible.”
