Murray will now hope to earn his first Test cap when Wales start against Fiji at the Principality Stadium on Sunday 10 November and then play Australia (17 November) and South Africa (23 November) in Cardiff. do.
There’s no word yet on whether his parents will fly out for the game.
“I’m not sure they really want to do that,” Murray said.
“Unfortunately they had already booked a flight for the Glasgow game a few weeks later, on November 29th.
“They were planning to watch one of my Scarlets games but we’ll have to see if they can come a little earlier, but hopefully.”
Murray was able to celebrate with Scarlets team-mate and housemate Taine Plumtree, while the back row player was also named in the squad.
“He was excited too,” Murray said.
“When you get the chance to play international rugby you have to take it. We went out for dinner as a little celebratory dinner and we were both excited.”
One of the things Murray will have to do when he gets the chance is to familiarize himself with the lyrics of the Welsh national anthem.
“I haven’t learned it yet, but I think I’ll practice in the shower or something!” Murray said.
“I will definitely have to get into it.”
