Ben Stokes’ home in England was robbed while playing a Test series in Pakistan, he said in a social media post on Wednesday.
“On the evening of Thursday 17 October, a number of masked people broke into my home in the Castle Eden area of the North East. They escaped with jewellery, other valuables and a large amount of personal items. Many of these items have real sentimental value to me and my family. They are irreplaceable,” Stokes wrote. “We are asking for your help in finding the people who committed these acts,” he continued.
In a separate post, Stokes posted images of some of the stolen items. One of the items is the OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) medal that the player received in 2020 for his cricketing achievements.

He said: “We are releasing pictures of some of the stolen items in the hope that we can help find those responsible for this. “Hopefully it will be easy to identify,” he wrote.
The England skipper was playing the second Test match against Pakistan in Multan when a robbery occurred at his residence.
