Astro Bot has been added to Game of the Year. This time it’s the 14th New York Game Awards.
At Tuesday night’s ceremony, Astro Bot took home three awards: Game of the Year, Best Music, and Best Children’s Game.
Remedy’s Sam Lake received the Andrew Yun Legend Award, which “recognizes people and organizations who exhibit significant and enduring work that demonstrates outstanding artistic achievement and innovation.”
The award is named for Andrew Yun, a founding member of the New York Videogame Critics Circle. Past honorees include Neil Druckmann, Reggie Fils-Aimé, Phil Spencer, Tim Schafer, Jerry Lawson, Jade Raymond, Hideo Kojima and other industry veterans.
