NBA star Anthony Edwards is making headlines for more than just his skills on the court. The Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard has claimed he has welcomed his fourth child in the past 12 months, this time with rapper Lil Baby’s former partner, Ayesha Howard.
Edwards’ journey to fatherhood began in September 2023 with the birth of his first child, a daughter named Aris. A month later, in October, he celebrated the birth of his son Amir.
By March 2024, Edwards had given birth to his third child, a daughter, with girlfriend Shannon, one of Chief Keef’s ex-girlfriends. Now Edwards has filed for paternity for his latest child with Ayesha, bringing his total to four children within a year.
This isn’t the first time Edwards has faced paternity issues. Last year, Amir’s mother Allie took to Instagram to claim that Edwards was the father of her child. Under the handle @iamallyd, she posted baby photos, screenshots of conversations and even a positive DNA test to back up her claims.
In a series of social media posts, Ally revealed that she knew about Edwards’ daughter, who was born a month before her son, and even congratulated her on the new addition. “Dis was literally a month ago, in November, when we found out we were having our little girl before our son,” she wrote, sharing how she initially celebrated Edwards’ new child.
Her follow-up post revealed her frustration. “I was a nun, but I was a great mom and a great MF. I let you guys say whatever you wanted to say for months. I was such a peaceful MF. I even prayed for my other children because MF was ending. They were my son. “Brothers and sisters,” she wrote.
Her post didn’t end there. Ally further claimed that she had been “harassed and told bad things” because of her relationship with the basketball player.
“All this Mf needed to do was get me out of the BS and my (lawyer) staff foreshadowed that I was such a peaceful person, but I wasn’t going to let the BS continue when it came to my son,” she explained.
She also criticized Edwards for not fully acknowledging his children. “Only BUMS doesn’t claim that having your kids lie about your kids is a headache.”
Details surrounding Edwards’ children and his legal proceedings are still unfolding, so stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
