Gloucester have signed tight end prop Alfie Petch in a deal of undisclosed length.
The 24-year-old made 17 Pro2 appearances for French second division side Biarritz last season.
Petch began his career at the Exeter Chiefs academy and played for Championship side Cornish Pirates before spending 2022-23 at Northampton Saints.
George Skivington, Gloucester’s director of rugby, said: “He already has a wealth of experience at Exeter, Northampton, Cornish Pirates and Biarritz and still has plenty of room to develop.”
“Trevor Woodman (forwards coach) has done a great job with our front row and we are excited to see how Alfie develops under him.
“We have a good group of props here and we’re looking forward to competing to develop each other’s games.”
