Jill wants to know about drone insurance options, providers in the industry, the different options for drone insurance, and how drone pilots can best make the best decision when it comes to getting drone insurance.
Thanks for the question, Jill. In today’s episode, we discuss the companies that offer drone insurance in the United States and the options available to pilots. We discuss the common providers and what they offer. We cover the fact that they are the largest and probably most common drone insurance providers and whether the additional options they offer to pilots are actually beneficial to pilots/the industry. We then discuss the types of insurance available and whether it is better for pilots to purchase an annual policy rather than a daily or per-flight policy, and why.
We then discuss options for drone insurance, such as comprehensive insurance, hull insurance, and whether pilots need general insurance for their drone business and equipment.
