Liverpool and Accrington Stanley went well in their FA Cup meeting and now their president has shared some thoughts on the club.
About X, Andy Holt said: ‘I just spoke to John Doolan for 30 minutes.
βWhat do you mean you gave the players off on Monday? βWe lost 4-0!β πππππ
‘@LFC was absolute class. The same goes for Arne Slot. They literally couldn’t have treated us better. β€οΈ’
What was destined to be a memorable game as it was their first meeting since the famous milk commercials of the 1980s took their friendship to a whole new level.
It is clear that there was mutual respect on both sides before the game even started, as their supporters are demanding that poverty-related slogans not be chanted.
Accrington Stanley put up a brave fight against Liverpool at Anfield.
It’s no surprise that Arne Slot has been recognized as a 60-year-old player. Because we saw how he spent his time with Red Josh Woods as a youngster after he blew the full-time whistle.
Domestic cup competitions are often derided by top clubs, but this proves that it’s not just the lifting of trophies that can be seen as a positive for them.
Matches against League Two clubs and even lower ranked teams give them the opportunity to make their dreams come true and we will always be one of the biggest attractions in the competition.
A well-fought match with respect among fans, players, managers and club officials can only be seen as a huge positive. Especially since we were the ones who secured a spot in the fourth round!
