New York — A postal worker was stabbed to death at a New York City deli on Thursday afternoon, and police said they had a person of interest in custody.
According to police, the postal worker was attacked while on duty at a business on Lenox Avenue in Harlem around 2:30 p.m. This road is also called Malcolm X Boulevard.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service said the person who died was a mail carrier assigned to Manhattan.
Police said the man was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds, but was pronounced dead there.
