The new update comes just a few weeks before the PS5 Pro launches. The upgraded PS5 will be available starting November 7 and will cost $700, and ahead of launch, several games have received updates to prepare for launch. The Last of Us Part 1 and Part 2 received PS5 Pro patches this week, and Alan Wake 2 developer Remedy Entertainment has revealed more details about the survival horror game’s PS5 Pro update.
Alan Wake 2 still has quality and performance modes that players can choose from, but these offer significant improvements compared to the base PS5 version of the game.
In quality mode, the game runs at 30fps but includes ray tracing and native 4K resolution upscaled at a rendering resolution of 2176 x 1224. In comparison, performance mode provides a higher output resolution upscaled from 1536. x 864–More visual detail compared to the base PS5 version.
