Police in Pennsylvania were questioning a man Monday in connection with the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, NBC News reported.
According to NBC, the man was found in New York on Wednesday with a gun similar to the one used to kill 50-year-old Thompson by a masked gunman.
The unidentified man was also found in possession of a silencer and a fake New Jersey identification card.
Police approached the man after receiving a tip from customers at a McDonald’s restaurant that he looked suspicious.
New York police previously revealed that a person of interest being questioned in connection with the incident had checked in with a fake New Jersey ID and stayed at a hostel in Manhattan before Thompson opened fire.

New York police are traveling to Altoona, Pennsylvania, where the man is being questioned.
The development came on the same day that Thompson’s funeral was scheduled to be held in Minnesota.
It is not known if the man being questioned in Altoona is the same man seen in surveillance video of a person of interest in the murder case previously released by the New York Police Department.
Thompson’s Company, an affiliate of Thompson’s. UnitedHealth GroupIt is the largest provider of private health insurance benefits in the United States.

The CEO was attending a UHG investor day meeting at the Hilton Hotel in midtown Manhattan on Wednesday morning when a gunman shot him in the back.
The suspect fled the area on a bicycle and pedaled to nearby Central Park.

The NYPD said the suspect was seen walking out of a park about 20 blocks north of the shooting scene, then took a taxi north to the Washington Heights neighborhood, where he was last seen entering the Port Authority bus terminal.
Police said the man is believed to have taken a bus from Atlanta and arrived in New York on November 24, then went straight to the Hilton Hotel that night and wandered around the nearby streets for about 30 hours.
