Evolution from UR16 to UR30
Compared to the launch of the UR16, the UR30 is expected to have a much bigger impact. As Nicolas points out, the UR30 maintains the reach of the widely adopted UR10 while boasting more than double the payload. This breakthrough opens the way to a number of new and exciting applications.
AX30: Linear axis for palletizing
The reason Robotiq chose linear axes over fixed pedestals in palletizing applications is primarily because of reach. The shorter and stronger UR30 would be too limited with a pedestal. I am sure most applications will require linear axes, which would also be helpful for the UR20.
