Microsoft’s latest financial report includes a lot of interesting details on the company’s Xbox department, including a significant increase in the game pass subscribers of the PC. But what was buried in a long report was a single sentence, finally how well Indiana Jones and Great Circle were performed.
According to the CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, Indy’s latest adventure was quite good.
Nadella discussed the success of the Black OPS 6: “We have already been praised for Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, which are already played by more than 4 million people.”
After three amazing films, Indie finally starred in the fourth adventure. Even though it’s been over 35 years since the last movie, this new adventure of Machinegames feels like yesterday!
Of course, Indiana Jones and Great Circle will be available in the game pass from the 1st, and “play” is an important word here. The topic of the actual sales number has never been raised, but game sales are usually very low on Xbox hardware. It seems safe to assume that the majority of 4m people are in the game pass for a few days.
We also learned that the game pass made the highest profit in the last quarter. Perhaps it’s almost entirely because of the launch of the Black OPS 6. But at least some success can be caused by Indiana Jones and Great Circle. At least, I hope that the game is so bloody that it can be.
Indy’s next bold adventure can occur when this year’s game is released in PlayStation 5, which can potentially generate millions of sales.
And don’t forget. Disney was so satisfied with the game and reported that he picked up the phone to discuss more projects.
